Tips for a Better Viewing Experience
Whatever browser you use, follow some tips for better streaming:
- Watch on a computer instead of a phone if possible. Your experience will be better on a larger screen.
- You will want to have access to your phone during the sessions to text responses to Dani.
- Put your phone in Do Not Disturb mode to minimize distractions.
- If you’re not using your phone to watch the event, disconnect from Wi-Fi to limit demand on your internet connection.
- Make sure that any available updates are installed on your computer.
- Use a preferred browser. The best browsers for viewing live events are Microsoft Edge (Windows) or Google Chrome (Windows or Mac).
- Make sure your browser is updated to the latest version.
- Close other applications and browser tabs. This decreases the load on memory so your computer can focus on streaming.
- Turn off automatic updates. You don’t want your computer to restart in the middle of a session.
- Turn off any messaging apps.
- Use Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi if possible. If you’re viewing on your computer’s large monitor, connect to the internet via its Ethernet cable rather than Wi-Fi.
- Monitor your internet connection. If your internet provider has promised you 5 MBps and you are getting only 1 MBps, it’s time for a phone call to sort that out. Your connection speed is critical to streaming success.
- Turn off any other electronic devices that use your internet connection including any smart home devices.
- If you’re having issues streaming the primary stream try using the alternate, lower resolution stream.
- For additional support and suggestions you can interact with the event support team in the Pro Summit Event group on Facebook.
